The ultimate disk-less and virtualization solution – Linux OS Provision Appliance
Linux OS Provision Appliance (LOSPA, youtu.be ) is the Internet broadband router which has customized firmware for providing disk-less station service in addition to basic function of Internet access. This is final version of LOSPA. It allows diskless Windows via computer virtualization in addition to Linux diskless. Virtualization management underlying the diskless Linux is via the application VMMGRS. VMMGRS can manage computer virtualization on Windows, OSX86, Linux and Solaris platforms.Basically, these platforms can be run diskless with LOSPA. Windows virtual disk can be deployed from Internet by the BitTorrent engine inside LOSPA. So the creation/administration of Windows can be delegated to the outside professionals. That frees end users from technical issues and struggle. Professionals simply send the Torrent seed to end users for deployment when they finish their works. On the other hand, self administration of the Windows in the virtual disk is also easy. Virtual disks are placed on a folder inside LOSPA. This folder is exported as a share. It can be mapped by any disk-less station PCs within the LAN (Wire/WiFi). The disk-less station PC maps the folder to be a network drive or as a mount point. Then, all Virtual disks becomes accessible. Virtual disks are in format of VirtualBox VDI virtual disk. People can administrate Windows such as software installation by using VirtualBox on the disk-less station PC.
