Thomas La Foe on uses for cloud computing – MSU Libraries Emerging Technologies Summit
"Cloud Computing" is a term that can be used to describe many different services, products, and devices. It can describe the ability to store and access files from any location using an internet connection. It can describe syncing information between devices so that changes in one location are reflected in another. It can also describe cost effective computing alternatives for small businesses, schools, and organizations. This session will outline and discuss these varying definitions of cloud computing and give examples of when, where, and why it can be useful. This is a presentation from the 2011 MSU Libraries Emerging Technologies Summit. For more information about the Summit, please visit library.msstate.edu
