Using an air compressor you can check to see if your actuators work properly . If so, the psi required to open both the VDI and auxiliary port actuators is very low, around 3 psi. If you can achieve this without a compressor and by simply using your mouth than you know you are in good shape. I didn't do it for the VDI but with the auxiliary port actuator I used a 'T,' blocked off one end, inserted one end into the actuator hose and the other end into a second hose which I used to blow into.
