Site Recovery Manager 5 and VMware vSphere Replication (BCO3324)

VMware vCenter Site Recovery Manager 5 and VMware vSphere Replication ensure the simplest and most reliable disaster protection for all virtualized applications. In this session, we will present an overview of Site Recovery Manager 5 and its key new capabilities, including Automated Failback and Planned Migration. With these capabilities, Site Recovery Manager has become a great tool to manage not just unplanned failovers but also planned site migrations. We will also introduce VMware vSphere Replication, the industry's first hypervisor-based replication product, which provides a more manageable and cost-efficient alternative to traditional storage-based replication. Together, these capabilities enable organizations to expand disaster protection to tier-2 applications and smaller sites. Finally, we will present the new licensing model for Site Recovery Manager 5, providing a particularly attractive entry-price for smaller customers.
