HP Confirms Talks with Autonomy; Cuts 2011 Forecast

Aug. 18 (Bloomberg) — Hewlett-Packard Co. forecast fiscal fourth-quarter and full-year earnings that missed analysts' estimates and confirmed it is considering a spinoff for its PC business and said it is in talks to buy software maker Autonomy Corp.
