Click here: cs.co Transcript: Between 2011 and 2016, Global data center traffic will grow nearly four-fold, goingfrom 1.8 zettabytes in 2011 to 6.6 zettabytes in 2016. What does that look like? Well, one zettabyte is equal to sextillion bytes—that's 21 zeroes! 6.6 zettabytes is equivalent to about 12 hours of daily web conferencing for the entire world's workforce, which in 2016 will be about 3.8 billion workers It's also equivalent to about 1.5 years of continuous music, streaming for the world's entire population. And in 2016, that will be about 7.5 billion people! Themajority of this data center traffic is not generated by end users, but by data center processes, and procedures. Storage, production, and development content that stays within the data center makes up 76% of the traffic an additional 7% of traffic is generated between data centers. While 17% of data center traffic comes from end useractivities like web surfing, e-mail, and video streaming. In 2011, about 39% of data center traffic came from cloud-based services and solutions; But by 2016, almost 64% of all data center traffic will be in the cloud. And the shift to cloud computing is changing geographically as well. In 2011, North America generated the most cloud traffic followed by Asia Pacific and Western Europe But, by 2016, Asia Pacific will become the cloud traffic leader followed by North America and Western <b>…</b>
