Promising to increase service agility and scalability, NFV is developing at an unprecedented pace. Virtualized network function vendors are scrambling to move their software from running on special purpose appliances to running on virtual machines. But by simply porting the code, the VNFs still can’t take full advantages of the cloud infrastructure to achieve scale-out elasticity and high availability.
